Role Summary:
As the Test Lead / Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all testing activities across multiple projects. You will define testing strategies, build and mentor a high-performing testing team, and ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and project management teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans aligned with project requirements and timelines.
- Define testing scope, objectives, and resource allocation.
- Establish and maintain testing standards, processes, and best practices.
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of software testers.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback and guidance.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
- Test Execution & Reporting:
- Oversee the execution of various testing phases, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Ensure thorough test coverage and accurate defect reporting.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics for stakeholders.
- Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement & Automation:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive the adoption of test automation tools and frameworks.
- Evaluate and select appropriate testing tools and technologies.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and project managers to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and risks to stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings and provide testing expertise.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Test Lead or Manager in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing test strategies and plans.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, k6) is highly desirable.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
